About Lofoten

Arctic Guide Service in Lofoten—A year round guide service Lofoten has a tour for everyone—and we have a guide for every tour.

Whether you’re interested in sightseeing, hiking, photographic tours, history, nature, culture, the midnight sun or the northern lights—in Lofoten, you can experience them all.

Hiking or a boat trip enables you to experience the islands from a unique perspective. A nature safari is perfect for encounters with some of the wilder “locals”, like sea eagles or harbour seals. While the various museums are perfect for encounters with the past, from the harsh conditions of the winter cod fishery to the fascinating Vikings. Lofoten’s rich cultural life offers galleries and music festivals in the picturesque fishing villages.

In Lofoten, there is a season for everyone. The Gulf Stream blesses us with a relatively mild climate, so winter is an ideal time to experience the northern lights, or just to savour the special atmosphere that is winter in the Arctic. But winter is not the only chance to see the aurora. They enchant us right through till April. September and October can provide perfect conditions for viewing the northern lights, a heavenly version of the autumn colours covering the mountainsides.

We cater to groups of all sizes, including independent travellers, for tours lasting from a few hours to several days. If meals and attractions need to be booked, we are happy to take care of this for you.
